What care costs, and what certification means
What care costs. The weekly price of a standard room is capped for each district by the Ministry of Health (the maximum contribution). The cap is the same whether you pay yourself or the Residential Care Subsidy pays. Premium rooms and care suites cost more, and most homes do not publish those extra charges. The cap in every district.
Some people qualify for the Residential Care Subsidy, which is means-tested and assessed by Work and Income.
